- Finish the front boards to match your cabinets, then decorate the top boards in a color that matches your countertops. A waterproof finish for the top boards would be a good idea to waterproof the boards.
- Put your stove back in place.

When planning your cutout for freestanding kitchens, you want the kitchen and counter to be the same height. You also want the depth and width of the counter to be flush with the fireplace.
However, cabinet designers usually leave some space between cabinets and the oven to avoid scratching the sides of the oven when you slide it in or pull it out for cleaning. This is where the gap-covering methods we provide come into play.
It can be installed alone, even without cabinets and counters on both sides. Its sides have a matching finish and it has a small splash guard where the controls usually are.
Unfortunately, the built-in backsplash limits the freestanding range's installation options. Freestanding stoves are the most affordable stoves among the types we will be discussing here.
